Solar Hatha Yoga

An energising, strengthening, and uplifting practice of Traditional Hatha Yoga. These classes are designed to connect you in with a sense of vitality, presence, and enthusiasm, and give you the momentum you need to meet life off the mat with clarity and positivity.

  • Our Solar classes work with a combination of dynamic and static yoga postures to increase strength and vitality and tap into the hidden power that exists within all of us. Solar practices may be supported by traditional techniques of bandha (energic locks), mudra (gesture), and mantra (vibration/sound), and infused with targeted breathwork to stabilise the mind and nervous system. You will leave feeling refreshed, steady, bright, and clear, with a deeper connection to yourself and your life.

All our Hatha classes culminate in seated Meditation, which is considered the most important aspect of every Yoga practice.

    • Enjoy practicing in the morning

    • Want energy and momentum to carry them through their day

    • Are feeling mentally calm and grounded (which allows them to handle the additional boost of energy built in their yoga practice)

Solar Hatha classes are suitable for all levels and abilities. Our teachers offer varying options of challenge throughout each class to ensure yogis of all abilities – from beginner to advanced – get the most out of their practice.

Lunar Hatha Yoga

A calming and nurturing practice of Traditional Hatha Yoga. These classes are designed to help settle and clear your mind, regulate, and stabilise your nervous system, and give you the space to reconnect to yourself and a sense of ease and clarity beyond the demands of everyday life.

  • Our Lunar classes are slower and gentler than our Solar classes, and work combination of simple and dynamic and static yoga postures to lengthen, open, and gently strengthen the body, and use more fluid movements and plenty of stillness to soothe and settle the mind.

Lunar practices may be supported by the gentle application of traditional techniques of bandha (energic locks), mudra (gesture), and mantra (vibration/sound), and infused with targeted breath-work. You will leave feeling calm, balanced, clear, and emotionally and spiritually nourished.

All our Hatha classes culminate in seated Meditation, which is considered the most important aspect of every Yoga practice.

Tantric Hatha Yoga

Our tantric hatha classes offer a lineage-based approach to traditional Hatha yoga, guiding you on a profound journey toward self realization. Rooted in the wisdom of the unbroken Sri Vaidya lineage of the Himalayan tradition, these classes integrate time honoured practices passed down from teacher to student (parampara).

  • Through meticulously crafted sequences that combine energetic focus dynamic and long held postures, we help lead you beyond personal limitations and cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself and your life’s purpose (Dharma).

Targeted specific breathwork further supports this transformative experience. The word Tantra means to expand — the science of tantra is a path to mastering energy and unlocking our full potential. In tantric hatha we embrace the principle, “when we master our energy we master our life.”

Our tantric classes will incorporate a mixture of tantric techniques such as bandha (energetic locks), mudra (gestures), mantra (vibration / sound) and infused with targeted conscious breathwork. We create a focused, inward environment by practicing in silence — without music —a tantric method to help you fully connect to your inner self, free from external distractions.

You will leave class feeling revitalized — luminous, strong, focused, stable, calm, clear, courageous, emotionally and spiritually nourished — and inspired to live your dharma with clarity, courage and purpose.

Each class culminates in an extended period of seated pranayama and kriya meditation both considered the most important essential practices in the Tantric Hatha Tradition, to deepen your awareness and integrate the benefits of the session.

Our teachers of Tantric Hatha yoga are specially trained in these ancient practices and are committed to guiding you through a deep, authentic experience.

This practice is more than just physical; it’s a pathway to self mastery.

    • Are seeking an authentic and transformative practice of traditional Yoga

    • Are curious about the ancient techniques of Yoga that you may not encounter too often on the modern yoga scene today: like bandha, mudra, and lineage-based mantra

    • Appreciate that generous periods of holding a posture in stillness work to cultivate a superior level of mental stability (and they are up for the challenge!)

    • Wish to practice in a class with limited distractions (for example, without music, which increases the internalisation of awareness)

    • Wish to transform themselves and their lives

    • Are seeking to explore and expand their capacity as a Yogi.

Tantric Hatha classes are suitable for all levels and abilities. Our teachers offer varying options throughout each class to ensure yogis of all abilities — from beginner to advanced — get the most out of their practice.

Yin Yoga

A nourishing, floor-based practice incorporating longer, deeper holds and an invitation to explore the contents of the mind as you surrender into stillness.

  • Yin works with the Meridian lines (energetic pathways) found within the fascia and looks to restore balance to our Chi (life force).

Yin often involves props for increased stability and support. You will leave feeling grounded, open, and nourished. Suitable for all levels.

    • Seek a slow/ still, accessible and healing practice of yoga

    • Wish to stretch and release built up tension in their body

Meditation

An authentic practice of Meditation using ancient techniques of the Yoga Tradition. Our guided classes guide you to home to a place of inner stillness. Meditation is the key pathway to Self Realisation, which is the goal of Yoga.

  • Each class visits a different technique and educates you on the science involved — so you know what you're doing and why — to help you build understanding and mastery over your practice.

We use techniques primarily based on Tantric Kriya, Mantra, or Raja Yoga Meditation. Classes prepare for Meditation with Pranayama (traditional science-based breathing practice), time to lay down in rest (Savasana), and herbal tea.

Regular meditation allows the mind to move beyond the day-to-day content into a quieter state that supports Self Remembrance. It can soothe stress by supporting a balanced nervous system, and promote greater emotional intelligence and self understanding. Regular meditation also helps build deeper levels of focus and concentration, allowing us to live more joyfully and with greater presence in each moment.

The whole point of Yoga is Meditation — allow this class to help you understand and experience the magic of why this is. Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike.

    • Wish to cultivate more calm and stillness in their lives

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, or 'enlightened sleep' yoga is a transformative ancient healing practice that guides the body into a state of deep rest while guiding the mind into a state of deep calm and presence.

  • This 'complete' practice will include some gentle movements to prepare the body, and Pranayama (breath work) to prepare your nervous system and mind. You'll then come to lay down in a supported reclined position as you are led through the meditative practice of Yoga Nidra.

You will leave feeling grounded and luminous. Suitable for all levels.

Our yoga classes are ‘complete practices’ (sarvangha sadhana), meaning they always incorporate asana (postures), pranayama (breath), meditation, and are often supported by bandha, mudra and mantra. Hatha classes invite you into a deeper understanding and experience of your own Practice through slower movements, longer intentional time spent in postures, zero complicated sequences, and minimal external distractions so that you can truly nurture a relationship with the deepest layer of yourself.
