Thanks for practicing with The Dharma House Yoga.
By attending our studio you agree to comply with and are bound by the below Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. If you do not agree with the below terms and conditions, we ask that you do not attend the studio or utilise this website.
Studio Terms and Conditions
By booking into a class with us you automatically agree with the following terms.
Neither The Dharma House, its owners, teachers or employees shall be nor be deemed to be responsible or liable (whether in contract, or in tort or under any statute whatsoever), for any injury, illness or mishap you may sustain arising from or out of, or in any way directly or indirectly connected with The Dharma House classes. You are to receive instruction in The Dharma House classes and theory only. You agree to not seek compensation from The Dharma House, its owners, teachers or employees against all actions, suits, causes of action, proceedings, claims, costs, and expenses whatsoever in connection with or arising out of any such injury, illness or mishap.
You agree that you have been recently checked and deemed fit to practice by a qualified medical practitioner.
The Dharma House is not responsible for the loss or damage to any personal belongings.
The Dharma House reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone for reasons including but not limited to illness, intoxication, danger to themselves or others, and other misconduct.
Students are asked to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes, and no later than 5 minutes before a class. We ask you please to arrive on time, as the studio door is locked at the start of class for the consideration of other students and their safety.
We ask students to please stay for the full duration of the class unless a valid medical reason asks otherwise. Leaving early would result in an incomplete practice, invalidating the full care of the teacher’s class, and thus reduce if not forfeit the full benefit of the class if not also be unsafe.
Students are encouraged to check details close to the time prior to class commencement as class details and teachers are subject to change at any time.
Weekly Unlimited Membership
The term of the Unlimited Membership commences on the date of purchase as the start date of this contract.
This membership allows you unlimited scheduled yoga and meditation classes but excludes guest teachers, workshops, retreats, teacher training, or other special events. Discounted access to these events will regularly be offered to Unlimited Members.
The membership will continue indefinitely until you advise The Dharma House Yoga via email (hello@thedharmahouse.yoga) that you wish to terminate the membership.
You may suspend your Unlimited Membership by emailing hello@thedharmahouse.yoga to notify us of the dates of the suspension no later than 3 business days before the start of the suspension period. You may suspend your Unlimited Membership for a minimum period of 2 weeks at any time, and the maximum period that you may suspend in any 12-month period is 4 weeks.
Membership fees will be charged to your credit card or bank account once per week via a third-party biller.
From time to time, The Dharma House Yoga may increase its fees for the Unlimited Membership. Notice of any such increase will be provided at www.thedharmahouse.yoga. Your membership fees will increase accordingly, with such an increase to take effect not less than 2 weeks after the date that the increase of fees is notified on the website.
It is your responsibility to ensure there are sufficient funds available to cover the weekly auto-debit. If an auto-debit is declined due to insufficient funds, the transaction will fail which requires additional administration and yields additional bank costs. Unfortunately, our third-party biller is unable to absorb these costs and applies a fee for failed transactions. The fee is currently $9.90 but may change. This fee will be debited from your account after the failed payment.
The Dharma House Yoga is in no way responsible for additional bank fees that you may incur from your bank. Bank fees are under the terms and conditions of contractual agreements that lie between you and your bank.
If an auto-debit cannot be made for any reason, The Dharma House Yoga may in its absolute discretion, process payment any time after the due date upon receipt of sufficient monies in your account.
If auto-debit payments fail for 2 payments or more, The Dharma House may in its absolute discretion cancel the membership.
The terms and conditions for our third-party biller form a binding component of your membership agreement. By purchasing an Unlimited Membership, or attending any class using an Unlimited Membership, you are deemed to have agreed to the their party terms.
Suspension only available on direct debit and Foundation Memberships.
If you have booked to attend a class and wish to cancel your attendance, you must process a cancellation through MINDBODY at least two (2) hours before the class start time. We will not accept cancellations by phone, email, social media, or any other method other than MINDBODY.
If a member is a no show or did not cancel a minimum (2) two hours prior to the start of class, this will attract a fee:
If a member holds a pass (class pass & casual visit), their account will be charged as if they attended (the pass will not be credited back to their account).
If a member holds an unlimited pass or membership, this will attract a non-negotiable $10 AUD No Show Fee. This fee will automatically be charged to the card details on MINDBODY. If there are no credit card details (we suggest updating your details on your account) or it declines, members’ class bookings will be suspended until the fee has been paid.
