PRESENTATION: Ancient Perspectives on the Human Mind - Psychology and Neuroplasticity according to Yoga & Vedanta

  • The Dharma House Yoga 58 Railway Street Mudgeeraba, QLD, 4213 Australia (map)

Join Aimee for another insightful Dharma Talk: an afternoon of wisdom and tea.

This session will explore The Psychology of Yoga:

We'll take a fascinating dive into understanding the human mind and its functions through what Vedantic philosophy calls The Antahkarana: the 'inner instrument'. In Vedantic literature, the Antaḥkaraṇa is organised into four parts: the ego, the intellect, memory, and the mind. Understanding how they work allows us to more clearly see our own internal processes.

We will also explore yoga's perspective on neuroplasticity: the karma chakra, and the process through which mental patterns and beliefs are created. Understanding this theory better positions us to drop old unhelpful tendencies and craft new helpful ones.

Tea and sweets provided, as always. All welcome.

Investment: Free.
